Our story

It started with one lesson and one very good idea.

Like so many people before me (maybe you!), I took one mahjong lesson and was hooked before it was even over.

I soon started a weekly game with my cousin and our husbands. And somewhere along the way, I started making personalized cards for us to play because we thought it would be more fun. That little idea eventually turned into Mitten Mahj.

These niche mahjong cards and accessories are inspired by the things I love and my everyday life. At the end of the day, I'm basically making the mahjong accessories I wish I could buy myself.

The best games always end up becoming a reflection of the people playing them, and I hope these pieces feel a little bit like that — like they were made just for you and your table.

What exactly do I get?

Twelve gifts, each one boxed separately. Inside you'll find four themed Merry Mahj line cards (enough for your whole table), vinyl stickers, playing accessories, and a few more things we're not spoiling here.

When do I need to order by?

Pre-orders close November 1. This is a limited run, so once the boxes are claimed, they're gone for the season.

How much is shipping?

Free within the U.S. on 12 Days of Mahjong — it's included in the $125.

Is it only good for December?

Not at all. The countdown is the fun part, but the accessories inside are things you'll keep on your table all year long.

Can I give it as a gift?

That's half the point. Hand it over unopened and let someone else run the countdown, or open it together at your standing game.
